I know, I know, we shouldn’t wait for Customer Service week to celebrate exceptional customer service and, of course, you must have in place a Service Culture, but what a fantastic opportunity to celebrate globally the importance of our internal and external customers.
For the forth year, I have had the pleasure to be working with Jersey Business, the Parish of St Helier and the Customer Service Awards to create a programme of activities celebrating and promoting the importance of great customer service in Jersey.
Customer Service Week, 2nd – 6th October, is an international celebration of the importance of customer service and the people who serve and support customers on a daily basis. In Jersey, the role of customer service is absolutely essential in providing a positive, professional and heart-warming experience of the island.
The week of activity will provide opportunities for businesses to discuss their own approaches to customer service and how it can be improved. I will be running a couple of Sales Training workshops on Tuesday 3rd October.
My series of ‘Interview with the Experts’ will go live every day during the week with 5 international experts, on ways to improve the customer experience through staff engagement and the physical environment.
Wednesday 4th October will start with a breakfast seminar held at Digital Jersey presented by myself and the members of the Jersey’s Professional Research Association giving top tips for effective customer research and will finish with the Sure Customer Service Awards to be presented to those customer service professionals receiving the most public votes in the recent competition.
