Why and how to create a Feng Shui Vision Board!
You are the co-creator of your own life, right!
You’ve heard it all before; visualisation, creation, emotion, dream big and all that…
I am a big believer in vision board, ever since I started my own business, I created a vision for my business, my life, what I wanted to achieve as a main one big vision board to start with but then on monthly basis and weekly basis.
The clearer you are with your goals the closer you are to achieve them.
What is interesting is that we all have dreams, and those dreams will connect to our emotional system, if you feel it, smell it, hear it, touch it, taste it, your brain doesn’t know if it’s real or not, so the more you use your 5 senses to connect to your inner-vision the better chance this will reflect to the outside world. The world in which you live is the direct reflection of your “inner-world”- look around you, if your life is in a mess everything around you will be in a mess, so chaos and disorder in your life is the result of what’s going on in your mind. The interesting thing about mirrors is that they reflect the exact image back to us, giving us a good idea of what we are showing outwardly to the mirror.
So, let’s see how you can stop being confused and unfocussed and co-create a happy, driven and prosperous life!
When I discovered Feng Shui, my goals were getting more focussed, because I was using the actual Bagua (the 9 areas of our life) to organised my goals for each of the area of my life. I’d spend time to really get clear on what I wanted to achieve in my Career, Self-Development, with my family, prosperity, fame & reputation, my relationships, children and creativity, travel & helpful friend and finally for my health.
Find pictures that represent or symbolize the experiences, feelings, and possessions you want to attract into your life, and place them in your board. Have fun with the process! Use photographs, magazine cutouts, pictures from the Internet–whatever inspires you. Be creative. Include not only pictures, but anything that speaks to you.
Your vision of your ideal life shouldn’t be focused on “stuff” so much as on what emotion you want to feel. For this reason, add words that describe how I want to feel on a daily basis – such as: “joyful,” “abundant,” “powerful,” “fearless,” “loved,” “strong,” “healthy,” “loving,” and “financially free.” Consider including a picture of yourself on your board. If you do, choose one that was taken in a happy moment. You will also want to post your affirmations, inspirational words, quotations, and thoughts here.
You can use a large or small piece of paper and draw a bagua map first (download a template here), them add your goals, words, images, for each area of the bagua.
Take your time, choose those words and images that inspire you and make you feel good and stimulate your emotions because your mind responds strongly to visual stimulations and our emotions are the vibrational energy.
Once finish, step back and take a look; what do you see, how do you feel, do you have a little smile watching your board, does your heart bit quicker and you are releasing happy hormones??
The best place for your vision board is somewhere you can see and contemplate every day. Your home-office (placed on the wall in front of you is the best position so you can be inspired to move towards your vision everyday), the side of your bed, your desktop screen saver or phone wallpaper! I even created a video dream board, which is super powerful too…
You can also review my vision board right before you do a guided visualization or mindfulness session, so your goals are top of mind as you train your sub-conscious to attract what I truly want into your life, using your 5 senses to tell your brain that’s it’s already here…
